Jayme Culwell

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with children aged 4 to 18. I specialize in treating young children and am one of the few Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapists in the state of Wyoming. I have worked with children and families in a variety of settings, including in home, school, after school programs, summer camps, and outpatient mental health centers.

I treat children experiencing a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, trauma, verbal and physical aggression, defiant and oppositional behavior, and attachment concerns. I’m just as comfortable working with a shy, withdrawn, and anxious child as I am with a hyper, impulsive, “wild child.” I have experience treating children who have been through traumatic events such as serious car accidents, animal attacks, gun violence, removal from the home and foster care placement, abuse/neglect, sexual assault, and more. I approach each case with patience and kindness that puts children at ease and gives them the time and space to feel comfortable talking about their experiences. I understand that parents play a big role in helping their children heal, and I make an effort to keep parents included in the treatment process. I strive to help families develop the skills they need to help their children thrive.
