James Bedient
Provisional Professional Counselor
PPC
I graduated from Chadron State College in 2008 with a bachelors in criminal justice and Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 and have lived in Wyoming my entire life. I have a passion for working with individuals from early childhood to young adults and have been working with children for the past 14 years in various capacities ranging from juvenile justice, residential treatment, day treatment, to consultation. I'm a strong believer in self efficacy and autonomy, and that relationships, safety, play, and exploration are the key tenants for both emotional growth and healing. In this, people are the experts of their own lives. I believe it is the role of the counselor to work in congruence with the individual needs of the client and to walk beside them while introducing new thoughts and ideas through treatment to encourage positive growth and development in a way that is purposeful and meaningful.
